I recently read a post on Instagram that read ‘’If you don’t take the risk, you will always work for someone who does’’. This struck me because so many of us are doing this. Can you relate to this? Do you find yourself working for a boss, in a dead-end job that you aren’t entirely happy with? You find yourself feeling drained every day. Do you struggle to get up in the morning? And all you can think about is that one day you wish you could work for yourself and never have to rely on a boss again. You just want to create your own hours and make yourself rich.

So many of us feel this way and I am sure many entrepreneurs, millionaires and business owners probably felt this way at some stage in their lives. Right now the difference between you and that entrepreneur, business owner and millionaire is that they took a risk, worked their asses off and made it happen. So why can’t you?

Just in case you needed me to remind you quickly – you actually can. You can eventually rely on yourself instead of a boss. You can create your own hours and make yourself rich if you are just willing to take a little risk. Now, when I talk about taking a risk, I don’t mean immediately resign from your job without any savings or plan about what you going to do once you have resigned. I’m talking about taking the risk to start that side hustle that you have been thinking about that will eventually get you to a point where you can resign and work for yourself. There is an opportunity everywhere if we just look.

In order to reach this point, you are going to have to be ok with being uncomfortable, having people talk, giving their opinions, sharing their concerns and after all of this you are just going to have to keep trying and keep moving forward. Not everyone is going to agree with your decisions and the risks you are willing to take. They may tell you it won’t work, or it’s a bad idea. This doesn’t mean it won’t work. This is them sharing their own limitations, not your limitations. You make your own limitations. Don’t let others make them for you.

No matter what you do, someone is always going to have something to say so why not just try it anyway. If we all cared so much about what everything thought or said there would be no entrepreneurs, business owners or millionaires. In order to get to where you want to be you will have to stop worrying about what everyone is going to say or what they are going to think and just do what is best for you. Stay laser-focused on your goal and remember that there is no one else out there that is going to live your life for you. You must live your life for yourself.

Start today and start small if it makes you feel more comfortable but start somewhere and watch it build from there. You will thank yourself later for taking a little risk!
