Have you ever looked at someone and they just radiate confidence? And you sit and wonder, how are they that confident. How are they that sure of themselves.

Confident people inspire confidence in others, build others up and they have a positive outlook on their own lives. Confidence comes when you feel good about yourself, where your headed and how you are going to get there.

Struggling with confidence is completely normal. We all have those days where we aren’t feeling as confident as we usually would and that is OK.

As woman we need to work on building our confidence and feeling confident within who we are and our abilities. We are capable of great things and we cannot go through life constantly doubting ourselves.

Having a lack of confidence can really affect your daily life and how you see and embrace the world and everything around you. If you aren’t feeling great about yourself then you aren’t going to want to be the best you.

So what can you do to help you build your confidence.

1. What is causing your lack of confidence

What is making you feel bad about yourself? You need to address the problem and completely remove it. It could be scrolling through your social media feeds and feeling like you aren’t where everyone else is or it could be that you are surrounding yourself with negative people. Once you know what is making you lack confidence its time to get rid of it or minimize if from your life.

2. Give yourself positive pep talks

Give yourself positive pep talks. Praise yourself and motivate yourself. Remind yourself of all you have achieved and all you want to achieve. We cannot always rely on other people to motivate us and build us up. Sometimes we need to do this ourselves. You cannot find anyone better to motivate you than you. You know what you want to achieve and you know how you feel when you are positive and have reached those small goals. Build on that. Create a routine to give yourself positive pep talks.

3. Stop comparing yourself to others

Stop comparing your life to what you see on Instagram. Stop comparing yourself to that friend who seems to have it all together all the time. Just stop. We are all living our own lives and we are each on a different path. No one is traveling the same road. Work on building a life you love and a life you are proud of. Wasting time comparing yourself is going to take away from your confidence and its going to take away from the time you have to create that life for yourself.

Once you stop comparing yourself to others I can guarantee you that your confidence will spike and you will start feeling better about yourself, your plans and your life.

4. Perfection is not possible. Stop trying to be perfect

Stop striving for perfection. If you do this you are just going to upset yourself for never reaching that goal of perfection. Yes you want to be great at things and that is fine but you need to remember that perfection isn’t realistic and its OK not to be perfect.

Embrace the fact that you aren’t perfect. This makes you unique and uniqueness is good.

5. Focus on making yourself better

Stop spending so much time concentrating on the things you are unable to change. Rather take that time to think about the things that you are able to change and work on that. Start going to the gym like you wanted to, start that online course that you have been putting off or start that business you have always been wanting to start.

Work on the things you are able to change and your confidence will grow.

6. Celebrate yourself and your wins

Cut yourself some slack and realize that you are completely killing it. You are doing the best you can do and that is amazing. Take the time to think about and celebrate the things you are doing. Build your confidence by focusing on the things you have achieved as apposed to things you are struggling with. Your are doing great and you need to remember that.

7. Surround yourself with the right people

Surrounding yourself with the right people is so important. You cannot expect to live a positive life if you are constantly surrounded by negative people. Make sure you are surrounding yourself with people that build your confidence, build you up and celebrate your wins.

Be proud of who you are, what you have to offer and how far you have come. As I said before, we are all on a different path and you are doing the best you can. Work on building your confidence and you will only excel even further.
